Two stem design: nonrotating lower stem reducing the total friction area between the
packing and the lower stem
Stem threads above packing, protected from system media
Upper stem threads are cold rolled for high strength and smooth operation
Lower stem hardened needle for positive shut off
Safety back-seating needle seals in fully open position
Maximum working pressure: 6000 psig (413 bar)
Temperatures up to 450º
F ( 232ºC) w ith P TFE p acking; up to 1 112º
F (6 00ºC) with Graphite packing
Low operating torques
High flow rate with full orifice
Every VAFINE valve tested with nitrogen for maximum working pressure
