Chromed Brass Vs. Stainless Steel Faucets
Chromed Brass and stainless steel faucets each have their own advantages. Chromed Brass and stainless steel faucets are both popular options to give kitchens a classic, clean look. Depending on what a homeowner wants stylistically and practically, either option could be the best choice.
Durability
In order to preserve their noticeable sheen, Chromed brass faucets require more work(chrome plating) than stainless steel faucets(just polished), which do not appear to age over time. Stainless steel faucets are also more durable and scratch resistant.
Appearance
Stainless steel faucets look very sleek and modern, but they do not have the shiny appeal of chrome plated faucets. Both are attractive options, but chrome faucets are flashier.
Cleaning
Most kitchen cleaners work efficiently on stainless steel faucets. They can even be scrubbed by steel wire ball, and, you can use a tooth brush to clean the stainless steel faucet with tooth paste, then Polish it by your silk stockings. But chrome plated brass faucets are more sensitive and likely to be scratched, so you have to make sure to use a cleaner that specifically works with chrome to avoid corrosion.

Brass material contains Pb unavoidably. The Chromed brass faucets on market just keep it under a certain percentage that allowed by FDA. While stainless steel material does not contain any Pb. Due to the shortage of brass casting process, the inner surface of a Chromed brass faucet is rough and accumulates dirt and bacterium. Stainless steel faucets are manufactured by precision investment casting, thus the inner suface is much smoother and cleaner.
Environment
Stainless faucets does not need coatings thus save the pollution that plating process would cause. Brass faucets have to be plated by nickel or chrome etc, otherwise it will rust soon(generate verdigris).
Cost
