Design and principle of operation
The pressure reducing valve consists of a bal-anced control valve and a closing actuatorEquipped with springs and an operating dia-phragm. A pilot valve with a strainer, needleValve and condensation chambers is at-tached to the pressure reducing valve. The pressure reducing valve is designed to Maintain the pressure downstream of theValve to a set point adjusted on the pilotValve. The valve closes when the downstream press-ure rises.

15, 20, 25, 40 & 50 NB
Screwed: BSPT / NPT for 15, 20 & 25 NB
Flanged: BS 10 Table 'F/H' for 40 & 50 NB
Limiting Conditions:
PMO - Maximum allowable Pressure: 13.00 kg / cm2
TMO- Maximum allowable Temperature: 2200C
Cold hydraulic test pressure: 26.00 kg / cm2
Springs as per requirement
Yellow: 0.2 Bar to 3.0 Bar
Blue: 2.5 Bar to 7.0 Bar
Red: 6.0 Bar to 13.0 Bar
Std. Acc.: Pr. Gauge, Syphon & Gauge Cock
Pressure Sensing Pipe:
The DP 13 controls the pressure by sensing the
Downstream pressure through a pressure sensing
Pipe taken to the union (item 27) or through the
Internal sensing pipe (item 19) Fitting of the external
Pressure sensing pipe is described in the User Manual
Supplied with the valve.
Note: Capacity is reduced and there is a possibility
Of hunting if an external pressure sensing pipe is not
Fitted
Installation:
The valve should be installed in a horizontal pipeline
With direction of flow as indicated by the arrow on
The valve body. Full instructions are given in the
User Manual supplied with the Valve.
