Braided teflon PTFE packing commonly known as
teflon packing or PTFE packing - is manufactured by method of braiding with PTFE granular resin. As PTFE has a very low co-efficient of friction, so the surface of braided teflon PTFE packing has similar friction levels to ice. Braided teflon PTFE packing can work at -180° C ~+260° C and is the best electrical insulator of all known plastics.
Braided teflon PTFE packing is used for packing of valves and pumps especially in food processing, pharmaceuitcals, paper mills, fiber plant, where high purity and corrosion resistance is required.
